John Sununu, New Hampshire's Two-Timing Failure

by: Dean Barker

Sat Feb 17, 2007 at 19:19:46 PM EST

Be it known that today John Sununu for the second time voted to kill debate on President Bush's plan to escalate the troops, a policy he pretends to be against.  As fully expected, Sununu's mentor and escalation cheerleader John McCain couldn't be bothered to show up to vote, Judd Gregg's monkey wrench amendment was thrown around as an excuse, and Senators Collins, Coleman, and Smith, who all share Sununu's vulnerable re-election status, voted to allow debate.

Somewhere in America right now, a family is needlessly being destroyed.

Will you, friends and citizens, join me in supporting our brave women and men in uniform?  Will you help me defeat John Sununu?

Where's his vote? (4.00 / 1)
I've looked for a published roll call.

The link you provide lists the Republican Senators who voted with the Dems, but that's it, no?

I can't tell whether he voted with the War Lobby or took a powder.

Here you go. (4.00 / 2)
Read it and weep:

Republicans No

Alexander, Tenn.; Allard, Colo.; Brownback, Kan.; Bunning, Ky.; Burr, N.C.; Chambliss, Ga.; Coburn, Okla.; Cornyn, Texas; Craig, Idaho; Crapo, Idaho; DeMint, S.C.; Dole, N.C.; Domenici, N.M.; Enzi, Wyo.; Graham, S.C.; Grassley, Iowa; Gregg, N.H.; Hutchison, Texas; Inhofe, Okla.; Isakson, Ga.; Lott, Miss.; Lugar, Ind.; Martinez, Fla.; McConnell, Ky.; Roberts, Kan.; Sessions, Ala.; Shelby, Ala.; Stevens, Alaska; Sununu, N.H.; Thomas, Wyo.; Thune, S.D.; Vitter, La.; Voinovich, Ohio.

Republicans Not Voting

Bennett, Utah; Bond, Mo.; Cochran, Miss.; Corker, Tenn.; Ensign, Nev.; Hatch, Utah; Kyl, Ariz.; McCain, Ariz.; Murkowski, Alaska.

Of course, they left out Lieberman in the first list.  What's in a name?

Down With Sununu (4.00 / 1)
The Sprintin' Senator once again shows how inept he is, and that he is a representative of the warmongering-McCain-right wing instead of the people of New Hampshire.

Throw the bum out, I say.
