I have a funny story to relate.  Later in the afternoon I was standing in front of the Radisson, where the IAFF reception and the Jefferson/Jackson dinner were to be held, when Rep. Porter and her aide came around the corner after taking a bit of a "constitutional."  On the other side of the little park were a host of young people holding Obama signs and Carol observed that they didn't look like the crowd she remembered from last year's campaign.  So, I had to tell her that's because she had a rag-tag contingent of volunteers while these kids are all paid (through the primary, I was told).  They even come with a supervisor who walks around and makes sure they're properly distributed and not too bunched up.  Needless to say, that wasn't something we ever worried about.  Seems like last fall was a lot colder and we kept moving just to keep warm.
Hodes, btw, has endorsed Obama and gets to have some of his signs on the same sticks.  Shea-Porter isn't going to endorse in the primary and has appeared with most of the candidates, I think.
