Have at it.

“In his speech tonight, President Obama focused on what remains our nation’s top priority: bringing Republicans and Democrats together in a bipartisan fashion to help create jobs and economic opportunity for middle class families across the country. Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster

“Strengthening the economy in New Hampshire and the United States is my top priority. I was pleased the President echoed this focus tonight because nothing is more important than bolstering our economy and creating jobs for middle-class families. We should begin with a focus on small businesses, not only because of the role they play in New Hampshire’s economy but because of their prominence nationally. Small businesses create two out of every three jobs in the United States so it is critical that we ensure they have the tools they need to flourish.
— Senator Jeanne Shaheen

“I appreciated President Obama’s optimism even as he spoke about our challenges.  He reminded us that whether it’s job creation, national security, climate change, education, housing affordability, or gun violence, we are one people, and, as he said, it is our task to ‘be the authors of the next chapter in our  American story.’  Our task is clear–to work together to make it a great chapter.”
— Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter

While I welcome POTUS’ openness to simplify tax code & reform Medicare 2 preserve it, he proposed programs w/o saying how we cld afford them W over $16T in debt we need lg deficit reduction plan that includes tax refrm & entitlement refrm & BalBudgetAmndmt 2 put limits on spendng
— Senator Kelly Ayotte

Somebody needs to tell Senator Ayotte that the federal government is where our money comes from. All dollars, whether in circulation or stored in some bank, are nothing but certified IOUs — i.e. debt, what somebody owes to somebody else. A country that prints its own money can never run out.

That’s a concept way above Ayotte’s pay level to understand. She doesn’t get it. She needs to be replaced ASAP. The only thing she seems to do is get her picture taken with angry old white men, like McCain and Graham and McConnell.

We must set the agenda for stronger protections against gun violence. Obviously, as with climate change, our system of campaign finance is skewed towards powerful interests that scare off politicians. No one is for the slaughter of kids, but there is little courage to do the right thing. HB135 will make our communities safer by rolling back dangerous and unnecessary changes to a New Hampshire law that justifies the use of deadly force in self-defense. I support this bill, and urge the New Hampshire legislature to pass HB135 without delay.
