How did you make out in the storm?

Looks like some some decent snow still coming down over most of the state.

Gov Hassan is encouraging folks to stay off the roads and there is a parking ban in Concord.

Be safe out there!

I made sure that I didn’t have any place I needed to go, that I had enough food and water, and I’m just waiting it out.

Hooray for all the union thugs who plowed our roads and highways!

A storm of a different sort, but in a way I’m glad to see Bill O’Brien et al continuing down the same path as the past two years. While their antics and extremist bills are wasting time, there’s no chance they’ll become law this year. And as long as we (and they) keep them in the news in 2013, it seems like there’s a better chance to keep them out of power in 2015.

I’ve been somewhat surprised to see new Minority Leader Gene Chandler continuing to vocally support such ridiculous (and nearly universally maligned) legislation as the 10c cigarette tax drop. I’m not sure if Rep. Chandler actually believes that that was good legislation, if he’s representing the view of the minority in the House, or if he’s just trying to save face rather than badmouth the previous Republican leader, but it’s not a good sign that Republicans in the House have learned their lesson and are moderating their policies.

I’m not sure what to expect from Republicans in the Senate, but I hope they keep in mind that nearly 10% more Granite Staters voted for Democratic senate candidates than Republicans and move in a more pragmatic direction to work with Gov. Hassan and the Democratic majority in the House to undo some of the damage of the past two years and move the state forward.

Chandler wants DESPERATELY to be speaker again. He can’t afford to alienate the Teabag/Bircher/FreeState contingent.
